'Notorious' thief arrested in San Remigio

A NOTORIOUS thief arrested while suspected illegal drugs and firearm were seized from him on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Purok Mahigugmaon, Barangay Luyang, San Remigio town.

The arrested person was identified as Rondell Bulinoli Tan, 43, a resident of Purok Maabiabihon, Barangay Luyang.

He was apprehended by members of the Drugs Enforcement Unit of the San Remigio Police Station.

Tan was caught in possession of a .22 caliber revolver with two live bullets, along with two packages of substance believed to be shabu (methamphetamine).

Police Captain Phil Restauro, chief of police of San Remigio Police Station, revealed to Sunstar Superbalita Cebu that Tan was caught holding the firearm after authorities received an alarm, which led to the discovery of only two packs of shabu.

Restauro mentioned that Tan is a known motorcycle thief and a snatcher.

He further disclosed that the suspect is based in Cebu City and has previously been involved in theft cases. (GPL)
