AN ON-CALL mechanic who was allegedly selling illegal drugs on the side was arrested in a buy-bust conducted by Tagbilaran City police at 6:11 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, in Purok 3, Barangay San Isidro, Tagbilaran City.

The suspect was identified by his family as Jhon Zalde Good, 27, a resident of Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.

Members of the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Tagbilaran City Police Station recovered sachets of shabu weighing about five grams, with a standard drug price of P34,000.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel John Kareen Escober, chief of the Tagbilaran City Police Station, the suspect was unemployed but occasionally offered his services as a mechanic.

While not working, he also engaged in the sale of illegal drugs, based on intelligence gathered during police surveillance.

The arrest of the drug personality is part of their ongoing operation, Oplan Limpyo Tagbilaran, which aims to eliminate all illegal drug dealers in the city.

“This arrest showed our unwavering commitment to clean the city from illegal drugs. We continue to push forward under Oplan Limpyo Tagbilaran with the support of our community and the Local Government of Tagbilaran,” said Escober.

He added that the police will not stop their relentless campaign against crime to ensure lasting peace throughout Tagbilaran City. (AYB)
