Tell it to SunStar: Isolation center

THE alleged asymptomatic patients isolated in the Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School has brought confusion both to the teachers and parents of our students in this school and we want the truth about this one. I presume that the best person who can answer our queries and confusion is no other than Councilor Joel Garganera, the Cebu City Emergency Operations Center chief implementer.

Sir, with due respect, if your team is very serious in curbing the spread of Covid-19, why do you still allow allegedly asymptomatic patients to be isolated in the school, which is already operating for School Year 2020-2021?

Our principal has already requested them to vacate the school but to no avail.

The public must be informed that teachers and parents who are getting the modules are sharing the same school with the allegedly asymptomatic patients in plain view. Where is the health protocol there? You are definitely putting our lives in danger! DILI BA NI DAKONG TAMPAROS sa IATF health protocol?

What about the facilities for Covid-19 which cost the City millions? Why you are still using the school? Couldn’t we use those facilities?

Didn’t Secretary Roy Cimatu say that schools should NOT BE USED to house Covid-19 patients? Because apart from being close to the people of the barangay, WE COULDN’T DENY THAT THE CLASS HAS ALREADY STARTED... there is already a NEED for teachers and parents to COME to the school. Please enlighten us, sir!
