What’s going on at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC)? Have they started work on the oval?
I think it’s a fair question to ask, considering how the City Government deprived hundreds if not thousands of constituents of a convenient place to unwind and exercise in the name of rehabilitation.
With no prior notice, the administration of Mayor Michael Rama just shut the gates to the CCSC last May 18, 2023.
I remember the mayor said the City could recoup the losses the facility would incur during the temporary closure once it reopens.
Well, if I’m not mistaken, that’s around P60,000 daily that the City has been losing since then. I’m not sure if that’s for the oval alone. Either way, that’s still a considerable amount.
From what I heard, the City is only working on the swimming pool at the CCSC.
If that’s the case, why did it bar the public from using the oval and the other facilities? It’s not like we didn’t pay to get in.
