Oslob holds pre-term briefing ahead of 2025–2028 transition

THE local government unit (LGU) of Oslob, a southeastern town in Cebu, conducted a pre-term briefing on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, to prepare newly elected officials for the start of the 2025–2028 administration.

According to a statement from the official Facebook page of LGU Oslob, the activity was attended by Oslob Mayor Ronald Guaren, who was re-elected during the May 13, 2025, midterm elections, Vice Mayor-elect Friedel Ricardo Nazareno, and the incoming members of the Sangguniang Bayan, held at the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Oslob Municipal Hall.

The activity aimed to ensure a smooth transition and strengthen coordination between the executive and legislative branches by presenting updates on ongoing programs, challenges, and priorities across all municipal departments.

The Local Governance Transition Team (LGTT), composed of department heads and officers-in-charge, presented comprehensive briefers and reports to the newly elected officials.

The presentations covered the current state of municipal operations, ongoing projects, challenges, and potential areas for development.

Key topics discussed included health, infrastructure, social services, environmental management, tourism, and local economic development.

The briefing aimed to guide the incoming officials in crafting relevant legislation and policy directions for the 2025–2028 term.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Oslob expressed its appreciation to Municipal Administrator John Guaren for assisting in the facilitation of the activity.

The agency also thanked all department heads and local officials for preparing the reports and offering recommendations to improve service delivery.
