

NEARLY P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Bohol Police Provincial Office across several towns on Monday and Tuesday, July 28 and 29, 2025.
At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, the Loon Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust in Purok 5, Barangay Cogon Norte, Loon town. Arrested was Dennis Fernandez, 45, a resident of the area, who yielded 20 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P136,000.
In another operation around 8:15 p.m. Monday, July 28, authorities from the Tagbilaran City Police Station apprehended King John Tomo, 31, of Purok 4, Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City.
Seized from Tomo were 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel John Kareen Escober.
Earlier that same day, at 2:50 a.m., the Balilihan Municipal Police Station also nabbed a drug suspect in Purok 6, Barangay Boctol.
Arrested was Renan Estrosos, 39, from Purok 4, Barangay Tangnan in Panglao.
Authorities recovered 10 grams of shabu worth P80,000, along with several drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, the Jagna Municipal Police Station arrested a 19-year-old suspect at 12:58 a.m. on Monday, July 28 in Purok 6, Bunga Mar, Jagna town.
The suspect, identified as Christian Yuri Sajol, was caught with large packs of shabu weighing 70.03 grams, with a standard drug price of P476,204.
The confiscated evidence has been submitted to the Philippine National Police Forensic Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office for chemical analysis, while charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspects. (AYB)
