A 32-YEAR-OLD mother and her two children, aged 11 and 2, were hacked to death by her live-in partner inside their house in Purok Kamangahan, Barangay Lutac, City of Naga, Cebu around 10 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2025.
The victims were identified as Junelyn Jimenez, 32, and her two children, 11-year-old John Carlo Camporedondo and two-year-old LJ Camporedondo.
The suspect was identified as Carlo Camporedondo, who reportedly remained at large.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident, taking a sharp machete with him and heading toward a hillside. Police believe he has been hiding in the forest.
The City of Naga Police Station has launched a manhunt operation in the area with the assistance of local officials from Barangay Lutac.
Neighbors of the victims reported that the live-in couple often argued for unknown reasons.
One neighbor revealed that Carlo had entered a rehabilitation center due to changes in his behavior, allegedly caused by his use of illegal drugs.
Another neighbor disclosed that just the previous week, Carlo was high on illegal drugs and nearly attacked Junelyn. (AYB)
