VINCE Paras put on a boxing clinic and destroyed former world title challenger Sarawut Thawornkham of Thailand in the fourth round to win the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Pan Pacific super-flyweight title on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Venue 88 in Gen. Santos City.

Paras started out swinging and stunned Thawornkham with a solid right straight in the opening round round.

The 26-year-old one-time world title contender continued to swarm Thawornkham in the second round with heavy combinations.

In the third round, Paras shifted his attack to the body, landing vicious shots that broke down the tough

Thai warrior.

The end came at the 1:59 mark of the fourth round when Paras finally connected with a solid right straight followed by a left hook that rocked Thawornkham. The referee immediately stepped in and stopped the fight.

“I want to fight the world champions at super flyweight. I feel comfortable in this weight and am ready for the top,” said Paras.

Paras improved his record to 24-3-1 with 17 knockouts, while Thawornkham fell to 24-4 with 19 knockouts.

Paras is currenlty ranked No. 5 by the IBF in the super-flyweight division. The top two spots remain vacant with Argi Cortes and Andrew Moloney as the only two fighters rated above him. The current IBF super-flyweight champion is Willibaldo Garcia.
