A DRUG den allegedly operated by a construction worker and former drug offender was dismantled during a buy-bust in Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Linao, Talisay City, Cebu, at around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.
PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the main target as alias “McLin,” 56, a resident of Barangay Linao.
Also arrested were two men who were allegedly caught using shabu inside the drug den. They were identified as aliases “Ben,” 34, and “Mark,” 37, both construction workers and residents of the same barangay.
Authorities seized five sachets of substance believed to be shabu weighing 11.12 grams, with an estimated street value of P75,616, along with the buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.
PDEA 7 information officer Leia Alcantara said authorities conducted a week-long case buildup against McLin after receiving information from a concerned resident.
Investigators reportedly learned that McLin could sell around 10 grams of shabu per week supplied by an unidentified source, with some of the drugs allegedly being consumed inside the drug den.
The suspects are currently in PDEA 7 custody, while the seized items have been submitted to the PDEA 7 Regional Office Laboratory for examination.
McLin had previously been arrested by the Cebu Police Provincial Office in 2019 on a drug-related case but was later released after entering into a plea bargain agreement. (AYB)
