

MANILA – PLDT pulled off a 27-25, 22-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-10 victory over crowd-favorite Creamline to reach the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour final on Tuesday night, Aug. 12, 2025.
Savi Davison scored eight of her 34 points in the fifth set, leading the High Speed Hitters to victory after two hours and 26 minutes at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“This is hard work, sweat, and tears,” said Davison, who earned the Best Player of the Game honors. She also had nine digs and nine receptions.
Kim Dy contributed 14 points, followed by Majoy Baron with nine, highlighted by three blocks. Jovie Prado and Mika Reyes added eight points each, while Kim Fajardo, who had two aces, made 25 excellent sets.
The 10-time league champion Creamline was paced by Jessica Margaret Galanza, who scored 20 points off 17 attacks and three blocks.
Skipper Alyssa Valdez chipped in 18 points, including a spike that put the Cool Smashers within one, 9-10, in the fifth frame.
Michelle Gumabao and Jeanette Panaga added 16 and 11 points, respectively.
PLDT will face Chery Tiggo in Sunday’s one-game finale at 6:30 p.m.
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers defeated the Cignal HD Spikers, 25-17, 16-25, 25-21, 25-23.
Ara Galang and Cess Robles scored 15 points apiece for Chery Tiggo, which returned to the PVL final for the first time in four years.
Imee Hernandez and Renee Peñafiel added 12 and 10 points, respectively. “I’m so happy and proud of the team. It’s not over yet; there is still Sunday,” said Galang, named Best Player of the Game.
