THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, welcomed the favorable results of the latest Octa Research survey, saying the findings will further motivate the organization to strengthen its commitment to public service.

The latest Tugon ng Masa survey showed the PNP obtained a 65 percent trust rating and a 63 percent performance rating for the

second quarter.

PNP spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co said the survey serves both as recognition of the police force’s efforts and a reminder to continue improving service delivery.

“Malaking bagay ito sa amin ang tiwalang ito pero higit sa pagkilala, magsisilbi itong inspirasyon para lalo pagbutihan namin ang aming serbisyo, patatagin ang disiplina at integridad at tiyakin na mas lalong mabilis, tapat at mas nararamdaman ang serbisyo ng PNP,” Co told reporters in a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

(This trust is a big deal to us but more than recognition, it will serve as inspiration for us to further improve our service, strengthen discipline and integrity, and ensure that the PNP’s service is faster, more honest and more responsive.)

He added that the PNP will continue to promote safer cities and communities through strengthened police visibility and faster response to incidents.

Co also emphasized the organization’s commitment to humane and prompt law enforcement, along with intensified efforts to curb criminality and strengthen partnerships with local governments and communities.

The nationwide survey was conducted July 4 to 11 through face-to-face interviews of 1,200 respondents aged 18 and above. / PNA
