

A PARTNERSHIP between TU and Hokkomslow Organization Inc. has been formalized to carry out sustainable relief and development programs in Soong, Lapu-Lapu City, focusing on environmental restoration, youth self-reliance, education and mentoring and income generation.
The collaboration was sealed on July 12, 2025, through a memorandum of understanding signed by TU chief executive officer Jyeongbong Hong and Han Joohyeon. It also launched the TU and Hokkomslow International Relief Consortium, which will implement projects in environmental care, education, skills training, social development and global urban diplomacy.
Korean guests joined local civic leaders at the signing, including Dr. Marie Ernestine Denise Fajatin, officers of the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris and Rotary Club of Mactan, representatives from the Department of Education Alternative Learning System (ALS), ALS teachers and Urban Poor Association presidents.w
Hokkomslow, a Cebu-based nonprofit led by Peng Toledo and Raydyl Gillado, will manage program implementation. Initiatives will benefit children and ALS students at the Hokkomslow Learning Center and support broader community upliftment goals.
