Cash remittances from overseas Filipinos rose to $2.7 billion in May 2026, posting year-on-year growth and continuing to support household incomes and consumer spending, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said.

The BSP attributed the increase to sustained inflows from overseas workers, with the United States remaining the largest source of remittances, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

Cash and personal remittances both posted year-on-year growth in the first five months of 2026. / KOC
