SB19 has once again partnered with Spotify to mark the launch of their latest era, “Simula at Wakas,” with immersive, fan-first experiences on the global music platform.
Since joining Spotify, SB19’s streams have grown 153 percent year-on-year, powered by their five most-streamed tracks: “MAPA,” “GENTO,” “Hanggang Sa Huli,” “DAM” and “Bazinga.” With strong listenership in the U.S., Canada, Singapore and the UAE, the group’s global reach continues to expand. Meanwhile, the This Is SB19 playlist has seen a 160 percent year-on-year increase in followers, becoming the go-to destination for streaming every SB19 era.
In 2020, SB19 was among the first artists featured in Spotify’s RADAR Philippines program, a global initiative spotlighting emerging talent. The following year, their streams grew more than 20 times, underscoring both rising fan momentum and the impact of early platform support. Since then, SB19 and Spotify have teamed up on multiple milestones, including SB19 A’TIN ’To, a campaign that brought the Pagsibol EP to life through a roving jeepney art exhibit co-created with Filipino visual artists.
“At Spotify, it’s beyond just getting music out there — it’s about creating meaningful connections between artists and fans,” said Kossy Ng, Head of Music for Spotify Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. “We’re privileged to be part of SB19’s journey from their RADAR days to the global spotlight, and we’re excited about how they’re inspiring other Pinoy artists while elevating the local P-Pop scene. Our goal is to give artists tools to tell their stories and create experiences that deepen fan relationships.”
“We’re proud to stand behind SB19, who continue to break new ground,” added Roslyn Pineda, General Manager of Sony Music Philippines. “Their journey is a testament to their perseverance. We’re thrilled to work alongside Spotify to raise the bar for Filipino artists. It’s been incredible to see Simula at Wakas come to life and connect with fans both locally and globally.”
As part of the rollout for “Simula at Wakas,” Spotify collaborated closely with SB19 to design innovative experiences that spotlight the fandom and how fans engage with music today.
Launching today, BALASA invites A’TIN to explore Simula at Wakas through a fandom-powered quest. Hidden across five tracks on the This Is SB19 playlist are digital cards, each representing a member of the group. Fans can unlock them by streaming and sharing the right songs, guided by clues embedded in each track’s Canvas visuals.
Earlier this month, SB19 also headlined Spotify’s first-ever Listening Party by a Filipino act, drawing nearly 20,000 Premium users from 25 markets into the Simula at Wakas experience. Listening Parties provide artists a real-time platform to celebrate major releases — and for A’TIN, it meant hearing directly from Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin as they shared the stories behind their music.
To gear up for SB19’s two-night Simula at Wakas World Tour Kickoff concert on May 31 and June 1, 2025 Spotify is launching a takeover of The Setlist from May 27 to June 7. This curated pre- and post-concert playlist spans every SB19 era — the ultimate companion for fans attending the show or streaming from afar.
“From our Go Up days to this new chapter, our journey has always been about the music, the moments, and the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way,” said SB19. “We’re grateful to have Spotify with us again for this era — not just to share our music, but to build experiences that bring us and A’TIN closer.” / PR
