THREE individuals, including a senior citizen, were arrested during a drug den raid in Purok 6, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The den was dismantled by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bohol Provincial Office, in coordination with the Tagbilaran City Police Station and Maritime Police, at 4:01 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025.
PDEA-Central Visayas Director Alex Tablate identified the main target as alias Nelson, a 72-year-old carpenter and alleged drug den maintainer residing in the area.
Also arrested were two individuals caught in the act of using shabu inside the drug den -- alias Ramil, 39, and alias Arman, 29 -- both tricycle drivers from Barangay Cantomimbo, Balilihan, Bohol.
Authorities seized seven packs of shabu weighing 10 grams, valued at P68,000, along with buy-bust money, two mobile phones, and drug paraphernalia.
PDEA 7 Information Officer Leia Alcantara said Nelson had been under case buildup for a week following intelligence reports from a reliable source.
Nelson was allegedly capable of selling 25 grams of shabu per week from his supplier.
Charges for violating Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspects. (AYB)
