UNDEFEATED Arlando Senoc faces his stiffest test to date against fellow knockout artist Eldin Guinahon in the main supporting bout of Omega Sports Promotions’ “Kumbati 19” on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the IPI Compound in Tingub, Mandaue City.

“This should be a good fight. Senoc’s abilities will be measured in this fight. His opponent (Guinahon) is more experienced and has a high knockout rate,” Big Yellow Boxing Gym head coach Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora told SunStar Cebu.

Senoc, just 21 years old, had his first fight as a pro in 2023. He demolished Jonnel Dejamo in the third round in Leyte. He then won three fights in 2024, knocking out Norman Rusiana and George Sedillo, and beating Kier Torregosa by unanimous decision.

Senoc hasn’t fought an opponent of Guinahon’s caliber, which makes this fight an acid test if he’s ready for the next level.

“Our manager, Seth Oliver Tio, and I really wanted Senoc to face an opponent like Guinahon to test him. If he wins this, he needs at least one more fight and then we want him to fight for a regional title,” said Tepora.

Despite having just 13 pro fights, the 25-year-old Guinahon already has lots of experience. He has faced some elite competition and has fought in Japan. He has shared the ring with former world title challenger Samuel Salva, World Boxing Council No. 20-ranked flyweight Yoali Mosqueda and former amateur star Ramel Macado Jr.

Guinahon, however, is currently on a rough patch, having lost his last four fights.

“Senoc is ready,” said Tepora. “Somebody is going to get knocked out in this fight.”

Senoc is 4-0 with three knockouts, while Guinahon is 9-4 with eight knockouts.

In the main event, former amateur standout Alexander Fredriksson (2-0, 2 KOs) will trade punches with former ALA Boy Marjohn Yap (34-19, 17 KOs).

Meanwhile, the undercard will feature Philippine National Team pug John Paul Panuayan making his pro debut against fellow debutant Mario Bersano, Mark Gil Gandi (1-0, 1 KO) locking horns with Kasty Flores (3-3, 2 KOs), Jubert Cahimat (1-0) facing Aldren Aton (1-2-1) and Crixian Arriola clashing with fellow newcomer Francis Arante. / EKA
