THE southwest monsoon or “habagat” and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over parts of the country, the weather bureau said Sunday, June 22, 2025.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to “habagat.”

The rest of the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the southwest monsoon.

Davao Region and Soccsksargen will have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of
the country.

The whole archipelago will continue to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.  / PNA
