AROUND 250 runners will converge in the Northern Cebu town of San Remegio on Oct. 2 to participate in the Aguila Beach Run, a fundraising run organized by the Bogo Shrine United Eagles Club.
The recepients of the fundraiser are the special education learners of Bogo and San Remigio.
The marathon will have three distances, which isn’t the usual distance of a regular fun run. It’s distances are 50K, 25K and 12K.
The top male and female 50K finishers will win P4,000, the second placers will take home P3,000 and the third placers will bag P2,000. For the 25K distance, first placers will earn P3,000, P2,000 for the second placers and P1,000 for the third placers. Finally for the 12K distance, the first place finishers will take the P1,500 cash prize, followed by a P1,000 cash award for the second placers and P500 cash prize for the third placers.
All 50K and 25K finishers will have a finishers shirts, an event shirt and a medal, while 12K finishers will have an event shirt and a medal.
Registration fee for the 50K distance is 1,900, for the 25K is P1,600 and it will be P900 for the 12K distance.
