AFTER a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Balik Baroto regatta competition is back, joining in Sinulog 2023 festivities.
This year’s competition promises to be exciting with its prize pool of P200,000 (Gold), P100,000 (Silver) and P50,000 (Bronze), treating sport enthusiasts to an event like no other.
“It will be organized by the Fraternal Order of Eagles, together with the Cebu City Government and Sinulog Foundation,” said Maria Charisse Pineda, event head secretariat.

Banca operators from the different parts of Cebu itself will go head-to-head to win it all. The Balik Baroto Regatta race will start off and end at the Il Corso Lifemall promenade.
The Sinulog Balik Baroto Regatta will be held on Jan. 14. It will start from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free for this competition.
