AFTER losing its opener, Batch ‘94 won back-to-back games in Division 1 of the Don Bosco Cup “Is Your Pack the Strongest?” last Sunday, April 7, at the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Gym.
With the help of basketball star Dondon Hontiveros, who finally suited up for his batch, Batch ‘94 beat Batch ‘91, 43-39.
Rammel Guimbarda led Batch ‘94 with 16 points, while Bonifacio Madrid Jr. had 13 for Batch ‘91.
Batch ‘97 stayed perfect in Division 1 with a 75-72 win over the InGORious Batches ‘80-’93.
Giovanni Canceko had 16 markers for Batch ‘97, while Lito Navarro paced InGORious Batches also with 16.
Hedrell Saliz scored 14 markers to lead Batch ‘96 to a 57-42 victory over Dos Milenyos.
Chrissar Llegunas had a game high 25 points for Dos Milenyos.
Meanwhile in Division 2, Batch 2014 and Batch 2008-2009 walked away with wins.
Batch 2014 beat Batch 2007, 44-38, led by Carl Edpan’s 14 markers.
Batch 2008-2009 outlasted Batch 2006, 64-60, with John Velasco scoring 25 points.
Jose Acha exploded for 29 markers in a losing effort by Batch 2006. (EKA)
