The Cebu-Sinclair Paints booked a spot in the semifinal round of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club Buildrite Cup 2023 after they destroyed the Leon Kilat-Smartbond, 97-49, in the quarterfinals last Sunday at the Benedicto College gym in Mandaue City.
After a tight first half that saw Sinclair Paints go up by just five, 33-28, the third-seed turned it up in the third period and outscored their foes, 38-13, to build a massive 71-41 lead heading to the fourth.
Zach Go led the way for Sinclair Paints with all-around numbers of 25 points, seven steals, six assists, and four rebounds, while Harold Villamor put up 10 points and eight boards.
In the other quarterfinals showdown, the Metro Cebu-Flexicrete obliterated the Rajah Humabon-Rubber Stop, 105-83, to force a do-or-die game for the last semis seat.
Michael Cinco fired in 32 points to go with eight rebounds and nine assists as Flexicrete lived to see another day. Ferdinand Tiro helped him out with 17 markers.
