CEBUANO stalwarts June Mar Fajardo and Roger Ray Pogoy will once again be donning the national colors as they were selected to play for the Gilas Pilipinas squad that would compete in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games here in the Philippines.
Also making it to the squad that is being coached by Tim Cone are Ginebra’s LA Tenorio, Japeth Aguiar, and Stanley Pringle, Fajardo’s San Miguel teammates Marcio Lassiter, and Chris Ross, Pogoy’s Talk N Text colleague Troy Rosario, Alaska’s muscleman Vic Manuel, versatile big man Christian Standhardinger of Northport, Matthew Wright of Phoenix and Kiefer Ravena of NLEX.
The basketball competition tips off on November 30. It is a competition that has been dominated by the Philippines, which has won 17 of the 19 tournaments that have been played so far.
