THE 18th edition of the Island Tee Golf Tournament is set on Nov. 22 to 25 at the Mactan Island Golf Club in Lapu-Lapu City.

The Island Tee is the annual signature tournament of the club located inside the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base.

This member-guest tournament offers a brand-new car, a Yamaha golf cart, a Skygo motorcycle, bet coupons from Pagcor, and cash from the par-3 special as hole-in-one prizes.

The car will be up for grabs on holes No. 8 and 15, while the golf cart is at stake on the 15th, which features an island green. The motorcycle and the bet coupons as well as the par-3 special are at stake on all par-3 holes.

Entry fee is pegged at P4,500 and each participant will get gift certificates worth P4,000 from Mizuno as giveaway.

This will be a two-man team event using the Modified Stableford Scoring System. The organizers announced that they will apply three-fourths of the October 2018 handicap of the participants.

Those from out of town, whose clubs are not part of the Unified National Handicapping System (UNHS) must submit their club certified handicap.

At stake will be prizes for the overall team champion, and the top two teams for classes A to C, Seniors and Ladies divisions.

To qualify for the Seniors class, both players of the team must not be younger than 60 years old.

There will also be individual awards for the lowest gross, highest points for each of the five categories and best score for the first and second rounds also for each class. (PR)
