PAREF Springdale Titans win in Vinta Cup

THE PAREF Springdale Titans completed a clean sweep of their games as they defeated PAREF Westbridge of Iloilo, 49-43, to capture the basketball championship in the 2019 Vinta Cup Inter-PAREF Meet at the Philam Homes in Quezon City on Monday, September 30, 2019.

Ethan Jan Bakunawa had another monster game for the Jabby Bautista-coached Titans as he tallied 16 points, five boards and four assists.

Ethan Ong also helped out with his 11 points as the Cebu-based squad went 3-0 (win-loss) in this tournament that pitted different PAREF schools from all over the country against one another in different sporting events.

The Titans got their campaign in this competition off to an auspicious start as they walloped the hosts, PAREF Northfield, 57-8, with David Gratones scoring 12 points in that lopsided affair.

They then proceeded to take down PAREF Southridge, 42-31, with Ong leading the charge with his 13 points, three rebounds and two steals.
