Phoenix Super LPG barges into win column with rout of Terrafirma

The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters secured their first win of the season after blowing out the Terrafirma Dyip, 97-74, in the PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center.

The Fuel Masters were all business from the get-go as they held the Dyip to just 24 points in the first half, while scoring 44 of their own to build a massive 20-point advantage at halftime. From there, the lead grew to a high of 35—the largest so far in this tournament—as Phoenix improved to 1-2.

The Dyip on the other hand, dropped to 0-3 and remain the only winless squad.

Jason Perkins led Phoenix with 17 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while ace wingman Matthew Wright had a full stat-line of 11 points, 10 assists, five rebounds, and four steals.

New addition Javee Mocon had 10 points and 10 rebounds while rookie Encho Serrano and RJ Jazul came off the bench and had 10 markers each.

Joseph Gabayni led Terrafirma with 16 points and nine boards while Aldrech Ramos had 14.
