THE Tigers and the Wolves registered victories over their respective opponents to improve their standings in the Elite Basketball Club Cebu City Season 17 at the Visayan Glass gym last Friday, March 6, 2020.
The Tigers leaned on an explosive second-half surge to keep the Kois winless, 87-78. The Tigers trailed, 33-40, at halftime but turned things around in the second half with a blistering 54-28 performance to pen in their fourth win in six games.
Christopher Obeso led the way for the Tigers with 27 points, 13 rebounds and three steals while Joel Bensig and Marsun Tabay had 19 points and 10 points, respectively.
RJ Acha paced the Kois with 32 points but it was not enough to keep the team from falling to 0-6.
Meanwhile, the Wolves ripped the Rams apart, 106-76. Roy Quiachon led the Wolves’ ferocious attack with 29 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, a steal and two blocks. Paolo Georsua was just as brilliant with his 27 points while Daboy del Rosario added 19 markers.
Both the Wolves and the Rams boast of identical 4-3 cards.
