THE local government unit (LGU) of Santa Fe on Bantayan Island has started painting cemetery niches as part of their preparations for the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2, 2023, respectively.
According to the Santa Fe LGU, this approach was used to assist the locals whose friends and family members had passed away.
Apart from painting, Santa Fe Mayor Ithamar Espinosa also convened the police, fire department and other personnel to discuss their security preparations for the Day of the Dead.
It was agreed during the meeting that the usual deployment of security personnel in cemetery will be followed to ensure the safety of those who visit their departed loved ones and the cleanliness of the cemetery. (With TPT)
