LOCAL boutique airline, Sunlight Air, has recently procured an ATR 72-600, a modern aircraft, as it plans to expand its route network in 2025.

This new addition complements the company’s three ATR 72-500s by offering enhanced performance tailored for short-haul regional flights. With a seating capacity of up to 68 passengers and low carbon emissions, the ATR 72-600 underscores the airline’s commitment to eco-friendly operations and passenger comfort.

This strategic acquisition also marks a significant step in Sunlight Air’s plan to optimize operations and expand its route network in 2025. By increasing flight frequencies and exploring new destinations, the airline aims to solidify its reputation as a trusted choice for regional travel.

“As we enter the new year, we find that there are more growth opportunities that come with the continuous increase of passenger demands,” said Ryna Brito-Garcia, Sunlight Air’s chief executive officer.

Sunlight Air currently flies from Clark, Cebu and Manila to various destinations in the Philippines, such as Boracay, Coron (Busuanga), Siargao and Cagayan de Oro.  / KOC
