POLLING centers in Cebu City and neighboring localities became temporary gathering places for voters from all walks of life on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Senior citizens, some assisted by relatives or poll workers, made their way to vote, while persons with disabilities asserted their right to be counted in the country’s democratic process.
Election officers reported that voting proceeded peacefully throughout the day, with minor delays caused by technical issues in some precincts.
The midterm elections determine new members of Congress, governors, mayors and local councilors.
