VASILIY Lomachenko has announced retirement from boxing, capping off a storied career that spanned Olympic dominance and multiple world championships across three weight divisions.
The Ukrainian southpaw made his retirement public through a video posted on social media Friday, June 6, 2025 (PH time), closing the chapter on a legacy that has left a lasting imprint on the sport.
“I am grateful for every victory and every defeat, both in the ring and in life,” Lomachenko said. “I’m thankful that as my career comes to an end, I’ve gained clarity about the direction a person must take in order to achieve true victory.”
