THE University of San Carlos (USC)-BED-A bagged the Players 10 title in the opening day of the 1st Lokality Football Cup 2025 last Aug. 8, 2025 at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay City, Cebu.
USC-BED-A outclassed Makati FC (MFC) Cebu-B, 3-0, in the Players 10 championship match.
USC-BED-A finished second in Group D, behind Bato Spartans FC-A with nine points from three wins and a loss. MFC Cebu-B topped Group A with five points from a win and two draws.
USC-BED-A defeated Group B leaders MFC Cebu-A, 1-0, in the quarterfinals, while MFC Cebu-B crushed Bato Spartans FC-b, 5-0, also in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, USC-BED-A squeaked past Bato Spartans FC-A, 1-0, while MFC Cebu-B beat Lapu-Lapu Heroes FC, 2-1.
MFC Cebu-B came into the finals with an unbeaten record but it didn’t matter as USC-BED-A proved that they were the better team with a convincing finals victory. / EKA
