Cebu has already made significant strides towards perfection in the tourism and hospitality industry and continues to drive its growth. In this connection, the Hotel, Resort & Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc. (HRRACI) will once again spotlight the people behind this city’s growing tourism sector through a fourth installation of its awards ceremony this August.
Launched in the aftermath of the pandemic, these awards were envisioned to recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service, resilience and leadership in the face of uncertainty and even, danger.
HRRACI president Mia Singson-Leon said she envisioned the awards program “to highlight the high-caliber, high-quality people who are passionate and dedicated to delivering hospitality to the world.”
Chairman Ron Manalang, Seda Central Bloc Cebu general manager, enumerated the award categories: Best Marketing Campaign of the Year, Sustainability Champion of the Year, Hotel and Restaurant Manager of the Year, Front and Heart of the House Employees of the Year, Supervisor of the Year and Hospitality and Tourism Educator of the Year.
Manalang said that this will be the first time the awards will have the “opportunity to have interactive booths.”
“To be a world-class MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) destination, you have to be able to deliver professional service through an excellent attitude and a heart for service,” added Singson-Leon
HRRACI noted that its programs are carried out in coordination with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and local government units. The Filipino brand of service is delivered exclusively by DOT-certified trainers nationwide, ensuring quality and consistency in hospitality training across the country.
