A 24/7 HOTLINE and help desk will be opened by the office of Cebu Vice Governor Glenn Anthony Soco at the legislative building of the Capitol to receive concerns from constituents of the Province of Cebu.
This was announced by Soco as part of efforts to expand the delivery of services to Cebuanos, particularly in the form of financial, legal, and other assistance across the districts.
(We have lined up the services we can offer to our constituents, so the Office of the Vice Governor will now serve as a go-to office that can truly deliver services to our fellow Cebuanos.)
The initiative will also be supported by various government offices, including the offices of the board members, in case there are specific concerns in any of the seven districts.
A designated staff member will also be tasked to forward complaints to the relevant departments or agencies to ensure appropriate action is taken.
“Usa man gyud ni siya ka opisina, naay mga staff, naa siya'y budget, naay impluwensya ug connections nga mo-collaborate with other agencies sa government sa local ug national...” Soco added.
(This is a full-fledged office, with staff, budget, influence, and connections that will collaborate with other local and national government agencies…)
The launch is scheduled for August 11, 2025.
It was earlier reported that Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro issued an executive order upon assuming office to establish the Cebu People’s Action Center (CPAC), which will serve as a centralized hub for communication, feedback, and response to concerns from the people of Cebu.
The CPAC will have a 24/7 hotline manned by trained personnel. It will also feature an official website for ticketing and feedback, as well as a mobile application equipped with real-time tracking, push notifications, and geotagged reporting features.
Soco earlier emphasized that with the start of the new administration, cooperation and collaboration among all sectors are needed to effectively deliver services to the province’s constituents. (ANV)
