THE heavily-favored Vudu FC avenged its previous loss and downed Looc FC, 2-1, in the final match of the Men's Open division of the Denker League at the Mabes football pitch in Lapu-Lapu City last Sunday.
Looc FC's Jano Flores scored the first goal in the 24th minute before Vudu FC quickly counterattacked with a strike by Opao Cortes three minutes later to even the match.
John Paul Arranguez sealed the game for Vudu FC with a score in the 35th minute.
On the other hand, Abellana FC took home the crown of the Boys 14-Under division after crushing Looc National High School, 4-0.
John Hale Tecson scored two goals, while Kurt Arranguez and John Patrick Polestico contributed a goal apiece.
Looc Elementary School also edged out Lapu-Lapu City Elementary School, 1-0, to win the Boys 12-Under title.
Ban-Ban Giovani Limosnero scored the only goal of the match.
