Cebu’s skyline rises and with it, a new way of living takes shape. The rise of BE Uptown Park embraces intentional design and the art of well-planned spaces. It’s only fitting, then, that the groundbreaking of this landmark on March 15, 2025, at Juana Osmeña St., Cebu City was marked by a masterful display of fashion.
Philip Rodriguez, Cebu’s fashion czar, presented the “White Lotus,” his Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which gave audiences a glimpse of quiet luxury. Where BE Uptown Park rises, Rodriguez’s designs flow, both effortless, both enduring.
The collection
Rodriguez’s collection showed how fashion and architecture intersect. Each piece that moved down the runway felt like a design sketch brought to life. Soft light filtered through the tent, illuminating a White Lotus-inspired floral setup that reflected the collection’s purity and grace.
A standout look was a sand-hued suit, structured yet relaxed. It set the tone for a collection that balanced power with ease. The bare chest and loosely knotted silk scarf spoke of discreet elegance, the essence of The White Lotus.
Then came moss-toned gowns, softly draped and semi-translucent, their radiant inlays catching the light like rippling water. A powder blue halter dress was also a standout, with its sculpted hemline and embroidery.
Amid the soft neutrals and pastels, a scarlet ensemble stole the stage, audacious and unapologetic. A model stepped forward, red parasol in hand, exuding a mix of old-world romance and modern confidence.
Style and city
With a 3,000-square meter footprint, BE Uptown Park is designed to be a destination where homes, hotels, retail and green spaces come together to shape a new way of city living. Just as fashion evolves, so does the idea of home.
At this groundbreaking event, two industries converged — fashion and architecture, style and structure, movement and permanence. And as Cebu continues to rise, so, too, does its sense of modern elegance — both in the way we build and in the way we live.
