In a world where stories travel faster than ever, one’s voice can open doors to creative and professional opportunities.
Room Eleven Studios and Co-Lab Cebu are inviting aspiring voice talents to discover just how far their voices can take them through Voice Lab, a two-day voice acting and voice-over workshop happening on May 17-18, 2025 at Room Eleven Studios located in Mango Square Mall, Cebu City.
Now on its third edition, Voice Lab is designed to uncover and sharpen voice talents hiding in plain sight. With the rise of opportunities in animation, documentaries, audiobooks, infomercials, content localization and digital advertising, there has never been a better time to explore the possibilities of voice work.
The workshop features a lineup of industry professionals. On Day 1, participants will dive into the foundations of voice acting with veteran voice actor Earnest Buzon. Day 2 focuses on voice-over techniques and monetization strategies, led by voice actor and host Claire Codilla. A bonus session will also be conducted by audio producer and sound expert Cattski Espina, covering topics such as voice frequency, the proximity effect and technical essentials for voice artists.
More than just theory, participants will apply their new skills inside a professional studio environment, recording real scripts and gaining hands-on experience.
“There’s a lot of untapped power in the voices we hear around us every day,” said Cattski Espina of Room Eleven Studios. “We created Voice Lab to show people that their natural talent, with the right guidance, can open doors they never even knew existed.”
Cebu’s linguistic versatility — from neutral English and American accents to Cebuano and Tagalog — gives local talents a distinct edge in today’s growing voice industry.
For those who have ever wondered whether their voice could be a ticket to something bigger, this may just be the place to start.
