Breakfast in Old Dubai
Tuesday, April 29, kicked off with a breakfast meeting in a quaint café amid artisan shops in the historic Old Dubai, situated in Bur Dubai and Deira, along Dubai Creek, to welcome two groups of investors who flew in from South Korea: Blackstone and FM - First Metro.
Joining the delegation was Xode European Community Manager Alex Morozov from Serbia. With literally hundreds of side events, the delegation compared notes as to where best to go.
First stop: ‘Code Meets Law’ Cryptocurrency and Global Compliance
Team Xode hit the ground running in its networking mission. They attended LBank’s forum on “Code Meets Law: Aligning Cryptocurrency Adoption with Global Compliance.”
There were important insights from the speakers and the audience interacting with the panel of the second session: “Global Playbook: Navigating Compliance Across Jurisdictions.” Noteworthy was the recurring question as to which is preferred: a VARA license from Dubai or an ADGM License from Abu Dhabi.
Xode introduces ‘Utili-memes’ in Polkadot @Token2029 Dubai
On Tuesday, April 29, Xode CMO Caesar Ditan spoke at the Polkadot Side Event @Token2049 Dubai. Attended by more than 200 cryptocurrency enthusiasts, the event had Ditan introducing the crypto community to the new concept of “utili-meme coins.” These are coins inspired by actual and fictional icons that have actual real-world utility.
Specifically, Ditan mentioned $MPC and $DON, two utili-memes in the Polkadot Asset Hub that have real-world use. $MPC is the utili-meme of MPC Finance, Xode’s DeFi Lending Protocol that offers zero-interest loans. $DON is the utili-meme of DonPay, Xode’s fiat to crypto (onramp) and crypto to fiat (offramp) payment gateway.
LBank’s ‘1001 Crypto Nights’ at the Bohemia Beach Club, Palm Jumeira
On Wednesday, April 30, the Xode Team joined LBank’s “1001 Crypto Nights” at the Bohemia Beach Club in Palm Jumeira, the world-famous man-made island visible in space. It was billed as “Innovation, Imagination, and Pure Magic.”
Ditan spoke to the thousands in attendance about Xode Blockchain’s record-breaking Initial Exchange Offerings, listing two tokens in two centralized exchanges.

Next stop for Team Xode was BitMart Exchange @Token2049 Dubai Afterparty. FM, the Korean investors of DON, found it particularly exhilarating since $DON utili-meme debut at 6 p.m. at BitMart Exchange. It was a very good reason to party!
Xode Blockchain’s second Initial Exchange Offering was successful with $DON hitting over 200 percent while they partied at Papa Dubai, The Atrium Level 3 - Al Habtoor City.
Visiting the Xode affiliate NexWeb Dubai Office at the DMCC Crypto Center
Xode founder Gene Son leads the Team Xode visit to the Dubai Office of Xode affiliate NexWeb at the DMCC Crypto Centre.
NexWeb focuses on attracting Web3 developers, Web3 founders, engineers, and Web3 project creators.
The bulk of Xode’s business development and cryptocurrency initiatives will emanate from this Dubai office, which is fast becoming the center of the crypto universe.
From Dubai to Abu Dhabi: Xode in search of the ultimate regulatory compliance
nother highlight of the Team Xode mission in “Token2049 Dubai” was a meeting in the Abu Dhabi Emirate with Dmitry Fedotov, considered by many as the ultimate policy maker for the regulatory framework of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and centralized cryptocurrency exchanges in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Mr. Fedotov is the technology regulator within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Registration Authority.
Topnotch global regulatory compliance or bust
Team Xode had a very productive learning session and interaction with Dmitry Fedotov to better equip Xode in its push for global regulatory compliance from the top-tier ADMC and VARA policy maker.
Nothing beats hearing it straight from Mr. Fedotov who was also instrumental in shaping VARA’s regulatory regime in Dubai as Head of Digital Assurance where he stablished and led a highly effective on-chain monitoring and investigations team.
The road ahead is looking good for Xode!
The first half of 2025 was very productive with several milestones for Xode: establishing the Xode Foundation and a Token SPV in Panama and establishing NexWeb in Dubai; and the record-setting listing of $MPC in LBank centralized exchange on March 31, 2025, and $DON in BitMart centralized exchange on April 30, 2025. This is another first for Xode Blockchain: the listing of two utili-memes — two assets in the Polkadot Asset Hub — in two centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. No other assets in the Polkadot Asset Hub are listed in a centralized exchange.
In the pipeline are more exciting real-world financial use cases, namely, PayDon Crypto Payment Solutions and MPC Finance for Zero-interest loans.
