Youth and environmental advocates hold run for a cause

YOUTH leaders and advocates for environmental initiatives are calling and inviting running enthusiasts and fitness buffs to join the event for a cause dubbed as Ta-RUN-Na 2.0 Dagan Para sa Kalikasan, which is slated on July 27, 2025 at the Arcade in Toledo City, Cebu.

Organized by Project Revive PH, a youth-led environmental NGO from Toledo City, is now on its second edition of the footrace.

“This run is for Project Revive PH’s tree growing initiative in chosen communities in Balamban and Toledo City,” said Project Revive PH chairperson Caren Basalo.

“It’s also an event where families and friends can enjoy fitness together,” she added.

This time around, organizers are expecting to rack up 1,000 participants. The categories are the men’s and women’s 10-kilometer, 6K and 3K.

Registration is now ongoing; the first 50 registrants will receive freebies.

Registration fee is pegged at P800 for the 10K, P600 for the 6K and P400 for the 3K inclusive of singlet, race bib and light meal.

All 10K and 6K runners will receive a medal, the 10K finishers will get a finisher’s shirt.
