
DAVAO City’s intensified anti-drug campaign led to the arrest of 11 individuals and the seizure of materials believed to be shabu worth P3.7 million in two separate buy-bust operations early on Monday, January 27, 2025.
According to Police Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the successful operations were made possible by continuous community cooperation and valuable tips.
The first operation took place in Purok 5-A, Barangay 23-C, resulting in the arrest of a 43-year-old suspect, alias Dol, along with eight other individuals from Barangay 23-C, Isla Verde, Davao City.
Authorities confiscated P348,160 worth of suspected shabu and other evidence. The suspects are now in the custody of the Sta. Ana Police Station.
In the second operation, conducted on Don Julian Street, Doña Pilar, Barangay Sasa, the top 1 City Level Most Wanted Person (MWP), a 25-year-old suspect named Jay-Jay, was apprehended.
Police seized packets of suspected shabu valued at P3,417,816 from him.
The arrested individuals face charges under the Republic Act (RA) 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. JPC
