THE 7-Eleven Run 2025 is set for February 2, with its 13th edition and 8th simultaneous event in Manila, Cebu, and Davao.

The nationwide run is expected to draw 50,000 participants, with 30,000 from Manila, 13,000 from Cebu, and 7,000 from Davao.

Registration opens from November 27, 2024, to January 7, 2025.

Runners can choose from various distances, including 711m, 3K, 5K, 7K, 10K, 16K, 21K, 32K, and 42K. Kids aged 7-11 can join the 711M run for free.

Top finishers in the 21K, 32K, and 42K categories will have the opportunity to compete internationally. Medals and cash prizes await category winners.

Over 30 sampling booths will also be available at the event.

As part of the celebration, participants can enjoy a special E-Stamp Promo, where they can claim a free registration code by collecting the required e-stamps.

Michelle Saludes, section manager for Exclusive and Events, said that the event aims to restore runners' confidence in physical events while allowing them to experience the excitement of running. It also offers a platform for Filipino runners to compete internationally.

"A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Philippine Seven Foundation Project, and the event will showcase the products of its sponsors,” Saludes added.

Saludes noted that the 7-Eleven Run attracts participants for different reasons: some join for fun or personal challenges, while others participate to rebuild stamina.

Elite runners, meanwhile, aim to qualify for international competitions. Running remains one of the easiest and most affordable forms of exercise, she added. AJA
