RESIDENTS in the northern part of Davao City are advised to prepare for an eight-hour emergency power interruption on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) announced that the outage is necessary to carry out urgent line upgrading works in the area.
The following areas will be affected: Communal Road, Country Homes Road, Forrestal Road, Sta. Lucia, Camella, Diamond Heights, Country Homes, Ilumina Estates, Pag-ibig Homes, Remedios Heights, and nearby subdivisions.
Davao Light assured customers that the maintenance is essential to improve the reliability and safety of electric service. The company committed to completing the work as quickly as possible and restoring power on or before the scheduled time, though slight delays may occur due to unforeseen technical issues.
As a safety precaution, the public is advised to be cautious around work areas. Warning signs will be installed to guide both motorists and pedestrians, especially near sites where heavy equipment is in use.
