THE use of blockchain technology can help in assisting the government in making more sound political decisions, a business leader said.

Ann Cuisia-Lindayag, Traxion chief executive officer (CEO), said the government can conduct nationwide surveys using the blockchain technology with its efficient and fast network process.

Traxion is a transaction management company which utilizes the use of blockchain technology in accelerating start-up companies, organizations, and even government agencies.

Cuisa said if there are problems, for example, on the growing population within the region, the technology can go further in order to locate the core of the issue.

In this way, Cuisa added, the government can be more adept in getting recent surveys in a fast way through the technology, and can help address more pressing issues in the country.

“If the government is open with such collaboration, then we could come up with partnerships which include the participation of the government and using blockchain technology in conducting surveys,” Cuisa said.

Meanwhile, Cuisa added the location of the first blockchain hub called “Kadena Hub” in Davao City can also help increase employment for the city.

Cuisa said the Kadena Hub is eyed to house around 11 Filipino startups who wish to conduct business operations in the city using block technology and artificial intelligence.

Kadena Hub's location will be at Mabini corner Araullo Street, Davao City, can sit 120 people in a modern industrial space. By January 15, 2019, Kadena Hub will start its operation.
