Budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) marked a historic milestone on July 18, 2025, with the arrival of its 100th aircraft—a brand-new Airbus A330neo. This achievement makes CEB the first Philippine carrier to operate a fleet of this size and the largest operator of A330neos in the Asia-Pacific region. The airline views this not just as a delivery but as a symbol of progress and its readiness to grow further in the aviation industry.

The Airbus A330neo is designed for long-haul travel with a 459-seat capacity and advanced fuel efficiency. It features ergonomically designed Recaro seats, USB Type A and C charging ports, and a quieter cabin with a 60% smaller noise footprint. Its Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and composite wings improve aerodynamics, cutting fuel consumption by 25% compared to older models—just 1.4 liters per seat per 100 kilometers.

The cabin also reflects the airline’s Cebuano identity and Filipino heritage. Styled by LIFT Aero Design, it showcases teal panels inspired by Philippine waters, blue mango patterns, and seat designs echoing Cebu’s “puso” or hanging rice. Even the lavatories carry subtle mango-themed accents in golden yellow. Blue and yellow highlights also help distinguish between standard and premium seating.

CEB’s latest aircraft plays a key role in its sustainability goals, supporting its move toward an all-NEO fleet by 2028. With the A330neo serving major routes like Manila–Dubai, Sydney, and Davao, it enhances both reach and environmental responsibility. The airline expects seven more aircraft to arrive by the end of 2025, underscoring its commitment to accessible, efficient, and greener air travel. PR
