MOVE officially launched its Discover ASEAN microsite today at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. The event was attended by Ni Luh Puspa, Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia; Nararya Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN; Eddy Krismeidi Soemawilaga, President of ASEANTA; representatives from various tourism associations; and key industry stakeholders.
MOVE CEO Nadia Omer said, “As an OTA born in ASEAN, our commitment is to further advance travel and tourism in the region alongside key stakeholders. This microsite serves as a digital gateway to boost tourism-driven economic progress across ASEAN countries. At the same time, it reinforces MOVE’s role as a partner in driving the region’s digital transformation. We hope Discover ASEAN will make it easier for travellers to explore more of Southeast Asia in a more affordable and seamless way.”
Accessible from the MOVE app’s homepage, Discover ASEAN can be found by swiping right on the main thumbnails and tapping the “Discover ASEAN” icon. The platform offers:
Curated recommendations on local food, culture, activities, and destinations across ASEAN countries
Visa requirements and travel document guidance tailored to each country’s policies
Health and safety travel tips
Integrated booking access for flights, hotels, local transport, and other travel products available on the MOVE app
Content on the microsite is sourced from the official Visit Southeast Asia portal—curated and endorsed by the National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) of ASEAN member states—alongside exclusive editorial content developed by the MOVE content team. The initiative reflects MOVE’s ongoing effort to elevate regional travel experiences and promote Southeast Asia globally.
In line with this mission, MOVE has been nominated for Asia's Leading Online Travel Agency at the World Travel Awards 2025. Voting is open until 30 August at worldtravelawards.com/vote. PR
