The Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation, Inc. (MTEFI) is expecting to generate sales revenues amounting to P20 million from this year’s Mindanao Trade Expo on August 11 to 17 at Abreeza Mall, Davao City.

Some 150 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are expected to participate in the event.

“These MSMEs are from different enterprises, we have from food manufacturing sector, and even handicrafts highlight Mindawon crafts,” project development officer Janefe T. Gucila told SunStar on Tuesday, August 2.

Gucila also added that the event will feature Mindawon inspired furniture, and business trades of fresh agricultural products like fruits and vegetable from local traders.

MTEFI president Dr. Rosevic Del Rosario-Cembrano said in a statement that it has always been MTEFI’s aim to provide a venue to promote local products while developing several communities in Mindanao

Cembrano added over the years MTEFI’s partners have grown in number. Amid this development, they have given more Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) more venues to promote their products and services.

Cembrano also said without their long-standing partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (Philexport) and Abreeza Ayala Mall, they could not have achieved their objectives in creating avenue for business trade between Mindawon entrepreneurs and Dabawenyo consumers.

The Mindanao Trade Expo is among the highlights of this year’s Kadayawan celebration.
