THE NCCC Group of Companies has marked its first-ever joint business venture with Vista Mall Mintal for the expansion of its supermarket and HB1 stores.
On Thursday, December 15, NCCC finally opened its 24th supermarket and 61st HB1 store at Vista Mall Mintal.
Lafayette A. Lim, president and CEO of NCCC, told Sunstar Davao on December 15 that they are currently testing the waters before fully implementing more joint ventures in the future.
"Vista Mall is our first joint venture. It's perfect timing that we have an area here and also the property of Vista Mall. Given this, we decided that instead of opening two different stores beside each other, we want to explore the possibility of working with businesses," he said.
When asked about updates regarding the construction of NCCC Maa branch, Lim is optimistic that it will be finished in 2024.
"As of the last update, the construction has finished on the third floor. We are within the set timeline," he said.
"It has a new look which is inspired by the Philippine Eagle. This is to pay homage to Davao City where NCCC has started," he added.
Lim said the direction of NCCC right now is expansion beyond Davao City.
"We've stepped outside Davao City such as in Tacurong. Our next stop will be in Kidapawan. This is the direction that we're heading," he said.
“There’s still a lot of potential in Mindanao. So, we’re still sticking to Mindanao for our expansion,” he added.
NCCC, as the leading retail store in Davao City, commits to its mission to be a market leader who cares.
Currently, it has a total of 108 retail branches composed of the following brands: 24 NCCC Supermarket, 23 Choice Mart by NCCC, and 61 HB1 Pharmacy across Mindanao and Palawan. JDC
