AS of May this year, the average price of fertilizers in Davao Region has increased by 1.89 percent to 19.42 percent.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported that the average price of fertilizer Complete (14-14-14) 50 kilogram in Davao Region had increased by 1.89 percent to P1,025.00 from P1,006.00 of May last year. Ammophos (16-20-0) fertilizer also has an average price cost of 5.48 percent to P831.00 from P876.50 of last year.
On the other hand, Ammosul (21-0-0) fertilizer has increased average price of 8.42 percent to P515.00 from P475.00 of last year. Urea (45-0-0), increased by 19.42 percent to P957.12 from only P801.50 May of last year.
Prices of these fertilizers vary in the different provinces in the region according to the data. Although data shows this average cost, Complete (14-14-14) is actually the most affordable in Davao Oriental where it is sold for only P950 per sack and the most expensive in Davao City where it is sold at P1,150 per sack.
Fertilizer Ammophos (16-20-0), on the other hand, is noted to be the most affordable in Davao Oriental at P812.50 per sack and the most expensive in Davao City at P950.00
Ammosul (21-0-0) is the most affordable in Davao del Sur at P480 and still the most expensive in Davao City at P600 per sack. Urea (45-0-0) fertilizer is the most affordable in Compostela Valley at P920 and the most expensive still in Davao City at P1,050.
