Stable prices for seafood, meat

The prices of selected fish, meat, and eggs at the Bankerohan Public Market are stable based on the monitoring conducted by SunStar Davao on Thursday, August 23.

Vendors say the stable price is due to the high supply of the commodities in the market.

Bangus is priced at P160 per kilogram (kg); tuna belly at P380/kg; tuna panga ranges from P340/kg to P370/kg depending on the size; lapu-lapu costs P380/kg; crabs ranges from P240/kg to P260/kg; shrimps (small) costs P240/kg and the large size ranges from P320/kg to P380/kg; squid (small) is at P120/kg and the large costs P130/kg.

Meanwhile, the price of the matambaka decreased to P180/kg to P200/kg from last week's P220/kg.

For meats, beef ribs costs P200/kg to P220/kg; beef kaldereta cuts stay at P200/kg; and beef fillet is priced at P200/kg. Pork ribs are still priced at P150/kg; pork belly at P220/kg;

For a whole chicken, the price remains at P140/kg to P150/kg; chicken wings costs P140/kg; chicken breasts is still priced at P140/kg; and chicken drumstick is at P150/kg.

Small chicken eggs cost P150 per tray; medium size eggs ranges from P155 to P160 per tray; and large sized eggs are at P165 to P180 per tray. (Angel J. Domingo and Ruth Kathryn Jayne M. Laquihon, Addu Interns)
