DAVAO CITY — As Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao marks 65 years of Dabawenyo hospitality, its signature dining outlet, Café Uno, is bringing guests closer to the flavors and culinary traditions that have become part of the hotel’s story through the years.
Throughout September, Café Uno’s Weekend Lunch and Dinner Buffet features a selection of Filipino and international dishes, bringing together familiar favorites and signature creations that have contributed to generations of dining memories at the Insular.
Among the highlights of the special buffet are Porchetta, the hotel’s Signature Lechon Baka, and Beef Tapa in Coconut Vinegar. The latter carries a distinct local touch, made more meaningful by the use of coconuts harvested from the hotel property itself.
Guests can also enjoy a live pasta action station, where freshly prepared pasta adds an interactive element to the buffet experience.
More than a selection of dishes, the September buffet offers guests an opportunity to experience flavors rooted in the hotel’s culinary heritage; bringing together traditions, ingredients, and dining experiences that have evolved alongside generations of Dabawenyos.
The celebration forms part of Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao’s 65th anniversary theme, “Pasigarbo sa Insular: 65 Years of Dabawenyo Hospitality,” commemorating more than six decades of serving guests and being part of significant moments in the city.
For many, dining at the Insular has become more than a meal. It has been part of family gatherings, celebrations, milestones, and everyday occasions that have helped shape the hotel’s enduring place in Davao’s hospitality landscape.
The special Weekend Buffet is available every Friday to Sunday throughout September.
