THE Chamber of Real Estate Builders Association (Creba) Davao Chapter has unveiled an ambitious five-year strategy to expand its member base and promote sustainable urban development in the region.
With a target of recruiting 1,000 active members, Creba Davao aims to strengthen its influence and play a vital role in shaping the city's evolving infrastructure landscape.
Creba Davao President Jarvie Harlem Gantalao acknowledged that membership dwindled after the Covid-19 pandemic, with fewer members actively participating. However, he noted a positive trend: Davao’s real estate market is gaining momentum, fueled by increasing investor interest and ongoing developments, creating a prime opportunity to revitalize.
"We plan to bring together more stakeholders and key players in the local real estate scene to help shape a resilient and dynamic market," Gantalao added.
The chapter’s five-year plan, kicking off this year, includes regular events and initiatives to boost engagement among new and existing members.
Meanwhile, Creba National Vice President Jocelyn Yumul said that expanding the chapter’s membership is crucial for the success of the strategic plan. She also expressed optimism about Davao City hosting the 2026 Creba National Convention, a move that would further cement the city’s prominence in the country’s real estate sector.
Davao's infrastructure boom, including key projects like the Samal Island-Davao City Bridge, the Davao City Bypass Road, and the redevelopment of Davao International Airport, is driving the real estate market. These developments, combined with strong demand for housing, affordable living options, and sustainable urban practices, present significant opportunities for stakeholders.
